I currently have a reservation for 6 at CRT on Oct 4th. There has since been an addition to our dinner party. Will they seat 7 on a 6 person reservation? I have tried to ammend the reservation but cannot and i would hate to have to cancel.

    Hello, Rich!

Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table is always such a lavish event! I don't blame you for not wanting to cancel. There's nothing quite like going into Cinderella Castle, enjoying a wonderful meal and looking out those beautiful stained-glass windows, knowing that the hubbub of the park is still going on outside while you're safely tucked within!

Because you have so much time between now and October, I would call Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE frequently, as Guests plans change frequently. Of course, you can also just try to make that new reservation online through Disney's online dining reservation system, too. Just keep trying...you might just snag a new reservation for 7, and then can cancel your old reservation for 6 (at which time, you'll be making another Guest who needs a reservation for 6 very happy...:-)  )

Should neither of these options work, head straight to the check-in area at Cinderella Castle as early in the day as you can on the 4th. Oftentimes, Cast Members at the actual location are aware of last-minute cancellations or some other way to accommodate just one more Guest. Being there in person shows that you are serious about the request, and that you'll be more likely to actually show up with your party of 7 than someone who simply made a call. If there's a way to accommodate your party, the Cast Members at Cinderella's Royal Table will be sure to do so.

If you can't secure the larger party's reservation at the time and restaurant that you want, you should have a backup plan: book a second reservation for 7 elsewhere. If you secure the preferred reservation after all, just cancel the second one. At least you'll know that there will still be somewhere wonderful with a reservation for you.

Best of luck in getting that larger reservation! Stick with it! It's so far away, I'm sure you'll be able to find one!
