We currently have a reservation at the Caribbean Beach Resort for September and have the free dining plan. With all of the construction and modified food availability, will the buffets count as a counter service? Will there be food trucks at the islands?

Hi, Tiffany! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I must admit, all of these refurbishments made me wary of wanting to stay at one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. However, after seeing the temporary amenities that the Disney Resort hotel has offered Guests, I am back to wanting to stay without hesitation! If you have the Regular or Deluxe Disney Dining Plan, then you can use one Quick Service credit per person at Centertown Buffet for breakfast or dinner, which, in my opinion, is a GREAT bargain! All-you-care-to-enjoy Mickey Waffles, anyone?! One thing to note, however, is that there is no “carry-out” option and buffet items must be eaten within the buffet tent. There are also a number of Food Trucks near the buffet tent where you can get breakfast items, and Quick Service lunch and dinner, such as burgers and fries, fish tacos, etc. You CAN bring your Food Truck items INTO the buffet tent for a place to sit. I am told that those who order the buffet will receive some sort of bracelet. There is also an “In-room Dining menu” (room service), which has a small delivery fee and Guests on the Disney Dining Plan will redeem 2 Table Service Meals from their meal plan balance for each In-room Dining meal ordered.

There are also 3 Island Markets available throughout the Disney Resort hotel: in Martinique- Building 25, Room 2509, in Jamaica- Building 43, Room 4308 and in Aruba- Building 55, Room 5524. Here, you can order a selection of snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go items.

I hope this information is useful! Come back to see us again real soon!
