We currently have the reg. dining plan for 10 nights.2 adults 1 child. Can we pay out of pocket for our childs table service meal(the cheaper ones)and save his table service to be used as adults because i have booked 12 ADRs,can system tell difference?

    Hi Laura,

The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to have worry free dining plans while you are vacationing. I can understand that you want to save some of those table services to experience as many dining options as possible. You are always free to pay out of pocket whenever you like.  Just understand that a child's table service (age 3-9) will have the value of a childs entree off the children's menu when available. So saving the child table services may not do exactly  what you are expecting. If you pay out of pocket for some of those child table services, you will have only child table services leftover, and they will not apply to you unless a children's menu is available at the restaurant in which you plan to dine.

The system cannot really tell how many reservations you have made or even if some overlap while you are making final plans. I do recommend that you cancel the reservations as soon as you know you will not need them to allow other guests to utilize those time slots. Navigating the Dining Plan can be a little difficult sometimes, good luck and have a great vacation!
