We currently have a pool view reservation (Oct 20-23) at the Boardwalk. If I waitlist a Standard view room will and the standard room at the same resort becomes available will member services automatically adjust my points.

Hello and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dave! It's great to see you hEAR again planning for your upcoming trip!

Dave, as a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member one reason I love this "club" is the flexibility and the ability to Waitlist a stay is yet another great example of that. Dave, since you already have a secured reservation at Disney's BoardWalk Villas, when you book a Waitlist for the same time period, you will see a screen asking you to replace your existing reservation should your Waitlist become available. If you select "yes" to that screen, your new reservation will replace the old and the excess points WILL be returned to your account.

Dave, while those points should show up quickly, it's always best to double check and if you don't see them in your account (after a few days), make sure to follow-up with a phone call to Member Services

I hope this helps as you are re-imagining your October stay. As a Member who always is trying to get the most vacation for my points, I'll be crossing my fingers for you that your perfect Waitlist room becomes available. Wherever you end up laying your head after walking home from EPCOT, I hope you have a Magical stay at Disney's BoardWalk Villas.

Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have!
