Stacy from WA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I currently have 163 points. 63 of those points were banked from use year 2021 (June). We are looking to book a stay Jan 2023 163pt + 100pt 2023, Will I be able to use all 263 pts? Also, will I be able to borrow into 2024 giving me 463 pts Total?

Hey there, hi there, Stacy! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with your Disney Vacation Club question. Chatting with a fellow Member always makes my day!

Don't you just LOVE being a DVC Member?! Knowing that your next pixie-dusted adventure is always just around the riverbend is priceless and nothing short of magical. But with Vacation Points, Use Years, expiration dates, banking and borrowing, it can sometimes be as confusing as it is magical. That's what we at planDisney are here for, and I'm thrilled to answer your question and help you plan your next adventure!

If I am understanding your question correctly, it sounds as if you have 100 Vacation Points per Use Year. Since you banked 63 Points from your 2021 June Use Year into your 2022 Use Year, you have until May 31, 2023, to use your banked Points and your 2022 Use Year Points. So, that means that you will absolutely be able to use those 163 Points to book your January 2023 vacation. Now, since your January 2023 vacation will take place before your 2023 June Use Year begins (within your 2022 Use Year), you will have to borrow the extra 100 Points from your 2023 Use Year to use for your January 2023 vacation. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" The temporary borrowing restriction has been lifted, so, now, you will be able to borrow up to 100 percent of your 2023 Points to have a total of 263 Points to use for your January 2023 getaway. YAY!

Since you can only borrow Points from your next Use Year and your trip will take place in your 2022 Use Year, unfortunately, you will not yet be able to borrow from your 2024 Use Year. You will be able to borrow from your 2024 Use Year for a trip that takes place on or later than June 1, 2023.

If you find that you need more than 263 Vacation Points to book the vacation of your dreams, you can purchase up to 24 One-Time-Use Points per Use Year! You can purchase these Points to complete a reservation once you are within your seven-month booking window by calling Member Services. I've purchased these Points to add an extra night or upgrade my room's view several times, and this added flexibility is just one example of what makes a DVC Membership so magical!

One more important reminder! For a January 2023 stay, you are within your seven-month booking window and can book a stay at any of the DVC Resorts NOW! I recommend booking as soon as possible to have a better chance of booking the Resort of your dreams. A dream is a wish your heart makes, and I hope all of your travel wishes come true. Happy booking, my friend!

I hope this was helpful, Stacy, and I hope you have the time of your life on your January vacation! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon,
