We're currently planning our trip to WDW so that i can run the Half-thon. My dw and 2 boys(12 & 9) would like to see me while running. My question is, will they be able to get into either of the parks to watch or have to use park passes to get in?

Hi Scott!  I am not sure which half marathon you are talking about, but if you are referring the Walt Disney World half marathon in January, they will definitely be able to watch you without having a theme park ticket.  The best and most fun place to watch the runners is on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom.  There are spectators lined up along Main Street and it is definitely a highlight of the race for the runners!  This will be around mile 5 and 6 for the half marathon.
You can also look into the chEAR squad packages.  These are available at different levels and offer some great amenities such as reserved seating and Race Retreat tent access.  But all spectators will be able to enter Magic Kingdom to cheer on the runners without having a park ticket for that day.
If you are talking about one of the other races, please let me know as these offer different post-race party plans that will allow your family to view you, but would require party tickets.
Let me know if you have other questions!
