I am currently planning a trip to WDW for March 2012. Tentatively, we are planning on arriving to WDW very late in the evening (11:00 PM). How can we avoid paying for the Dining Plan that day? From what I have read, the Dining Plan begins on arrival.

    Hi Lori,

The Disney Dining Plan includes one (1) Quick-Service Meal, one (1) Snack, and one (1) Table-Service meal per person, per night of your package stay for everyone in the party ages 3 and over.

Although you won't be able to use any of your meal entitlements the day you arrive as you will not get to Walt Disney World until very late that evening, the great news is that you are free to use your meals and snacks in any order throughout your package stay until your total is depleted.

In order to make sure that all of your Table-Service meal credits are used up during your stay, I would recommend that you make a dining reservation for a Dinner Show or at a Signature Dining restaurant (both of which require two (2) Table-Service meal credits per person) for one day during your visit.

It is also worth noting that your Table-Service meals, Quick-Service meals and snack credits do not expire until midnight on your package reservation checkout date.

Should you find that you have any remaining Quick-Service meal or Snack credits remaining at the end of your stay, I would suggest a visit to Goofy's Candy Company at Downtown Disney where you will be able to exchange them for many types of delicious candy and yummy treats. My family always find that these make great souvenirs for family and friends back at home.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
