Hi. We are currently planning a trip to Disneyland in January of next year. I was curious if the pools are heated at the Disneyland Resort hotel. Also, how close is the hotel to the parks? I have a son with autism and want to be close for taking breaks

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer. I hope you're having a magical week so far.

The pools at all three Disneyland Resort hotels are heated to about 80 degrees. When you visit in early January, the pools may be comfy when you're swimming in it, but be prepared for the chills when you hop out! January in Southern California can be pretty cold.

A big benefit of staying onsite at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels is the close proximity to the parks and Downtown Disney District. If you're looking for the absolute closest, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa is your best bet. There's a side entrance exclusively for Guests staying at the three property hotels. It's a quick entry into and exit from Disney California Adventure Park.

Both Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel are slightly further, but still relatively close. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk leisurely from these two hotels to the entrance of the parks. I love the stroll through Downtown Disney District in the morning and picking up a Jamba Juice smoothie or a Starbucks coffee to start my day.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Jennifer. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    Have an enchanted day,
    Kiki
