We are currently planning a trip with our 2 children , aged 8 and 2, and were considering the dining plan. How does that work with our 2 year old? I know the dining plan is for everyone age 3 and up, so am I going to have to pay for all of his meals?

    Hi Meggan,

I'm so happy you stopped by our site with your question. This comes up frequently for guests traveling with a 2-year-old. For any typical table-service restaurants, your little one will be allowed to share the food from your plate. In my opinion, the very best use of your Disney Dining Plan table-service credits is to book "all-you-care-to-eat" meals, especially character dining experiences. Many of these locations offer a traditional buffet where your 2-year-old will have several options to fill their tummy! At quick-service or snack locations, you will need to pay out of pocket for additional items ordered. The quick-service entitlements are usually quite large and unless your 2-year-old has a huge appetite, you'll find the meals offer plenty to share.

Let me know what other questions you have, Meggan. Our family has utilized the Disney Dining Plan on many trips. I'm happy to help.

Best wishes for a magical vacation!
