    I am currently planning our first Disney vacation as DVC members for January 2018. I noticed they had moonlight magic events for DVC members this past year. Does anyone know how far in advance the moonlight magic events are announced? Thank you!

    Welcome home to Disney Vacation Club! How magical to be planning your first trip as Disney Vacation Club members. With your Disney Vacation Club membership, you will be able to experience the magic of Disney vacations for many years to come!

    I have participated in Moonlight Magic, and it is truly a great perk of being a Disney Vacation Club member! My family was able to head to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park for a Moonlight Magic event earlier this month, and we had a great time. It was so cool to see this park at night, and the complimentary Mickey Mouse ice cream bars were great!

    The announcement of the full docket of Moonlight Magic events for 2017 was released in January 2017, as you can see in the Disney Parks Blog post I linked above. I believe that the Magic Kingdom events, which were earlier in the year, were announced before that. I recommend that you monitor the Disney Parks Blog for news. Another place to monitor is the complimentary events & experiences page of the member benefits section of the Disney Vacation Club website. Please note that member extra events such as Moonlight Magic are not guaranteed to be repeated each year.
