I am currently planning my first Disney vacation. I don't have a debit card or credit card but I am a Florida resident. I will like to purchase a vacation package online. Can I pay this with a gift card and still get the Florida resident discount?

    Hi Shannon,
Thanks for submitting your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We're so glad you could join us.

Cue all the excitement while planning your first Disney vacation! The current Florida resident deals are just fantastic-I'm so glad to hear you're taking advantage of one of these Special Offers. You absolutely may purchase a vacation package online and pay for it using a Disney Gift Card.  You may need to show proof of Florida residency at check-in to confirm that you are a Florida resident.  If for some reason you are having a problem making the reservation online, the wonderful Cast Members on the phone can assist you. I do suggest using the Disney Gift Card website to combine your gift cards; individual cards may have up to $1,000 in value which can make payments much easier.

Shannon, if you don't already have an account set up in My Disney Experience, you'll want to do that as soon as you make your reservation.  Since you plan on staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance of your arrival for your entire vacation, so take advantage of that fantastic benefit.  You may also make Advance Dining Reservations at restaurants 180 days prior to arrival for your entire visit.

Shannon, please come back and see us if you have more questions while planning your vacation! We would love to give you a hand.  Have a fantastic first visit and don't forget to ask for a First Visit pin upon resort check-in!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
