I am currently planning my family's first trip to Disney this November. I want to purchase the dinning plan. However my daughter will be 4 at the time and she is a hit and miss kind of eater. Is she required to have a meal plan or can she share with m

    Hey Brandi-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Wahoo! Your first trip with be magical, memorable and magnificent. Disney Dining Plans allow your taste buds to the enjoy the adventure of flavors at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. You will find everything from doughnuts to duck.

When you purchase a Disney Dining Plan, all members of your party’s reservation ages 3 and older must be on the plan. We had this same issue with our young one when he was 4 as well, but found many options for our pickiest eater. Cast Members at the restaurants are always willing to go the extra mile to make your taste buds smile. We have created many meals for our kids over the years at a variety of different restaurants by explaining our situation to the Cast Member. Not all restaurants can customize meals or make exceptions.

Please look over the different dining plan options to find the one that’s best for your family. We typically do the standard Disney Dining Plan because it is plenty of food for us. The best use of the Disney Dining Plan meal entitlements is at expensive experiences like Character Dining.

Disney Dad Tip: I would suggest pricing out your meals before you go and determine if a plan is worth it. You may find the prices of all menu items on the restaurant's webpage.

Brandi, enjoy making many delicious and Magical Memories.
