Hey there, Mark! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.
I am a huge fan of the Walt Disney World water parks and have even been known to make the 8-hour drive in one day just to enjoy some time splish splashin' around in the Florida sunshine only to turn around and head back home at the end of the day! As you are aware,
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is currently open and Guests have been having a fabulous time enjoying all the water park has to offer. At this time, there has been no word on whether or not
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will open for the summer season or not. I have my fingers crossed though because Typhoon Lagoon is my absolute favorite!
Disney's Blizzard Beach opened not too long ago but does have some
new rules and regulations to abide by at this time. Currently, Guests must wear a face covering when entering the water park, when visiting the gift shop areas and at all times when in the foodservice locations. However, face coverings will not be permitted on the water slides, in the lazy river, or in the wave pool. You may also remove your face covering when you are seated and physically distant from other Guests at your chairs and when actively eating or drinking. At this time, you do not need to make a park pass reservation to visit Disney's Blizzard Beach. You can pre-purchase a water park ticket online before your visit or buy them on the day of at the ticket kiosk located at the entrance of the water park.
While you are visiting Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, I hope you take a ride down the
Toboggan Racers. It's my family's favorite part about Blizzard Beach. This water slide is an 8-lane downhill slalom-style water slide where everyone lays on their bellies and races toward the finish line. My family is pretty competitive and you can find us doing this again and again until one of us is crowned victorious on the day! After we've worked up an appetite, nothing says water park snacks quick like mini doughnuts so we always grab an order of those on the way out.
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is such a fun day, I think you will really enjoy it too. If you have any other questions about your day at the water park or anything else, please feel free to come back and
ask me.
Have fun!
