Boys riding attractions

    I currently manage my boys My Disney Experience accounts because they were under 18 when we created them. Now that they are over 18, how do I go about giving them access? Can the account be transferred or do they have to go in and create new accounts?

    Welcome to planDisney, Cortni! It sounds like you've given your boys a lifetime of Disney magic and memories and are ready to pass the magic on so they can manage their own My Disney Experience accounts and continue to make even more magical memories!

    I've got great news, Cortni, yes, you can transfer the accounts you manage to your boys, which allows them to retain ownership and use of any MagicBands that have been previously linked to them as well! Let's go through the steps to transfer their accounts:

    • First, have your boys create their own My Disney Experience accounts if they haven't already done so.
    • Next, on your Family & Friends List, find the managed profiles that you'd like to transfer. On your My Disney Experience mobile app, select Profile - Family & Friends List - and then click their account that says Plans Managed By Me, then select Send Email to enter the email associated with their newly created account.
    • Once your sons accept this invitation, all previous plans will transfer over to their new account, including any current plans or linked MagicBands!
    That's it, Cortni! Now your boys will be ready to manage their plans and continue to make magic for years to come!
