I currently use the Lynx buses to get to the Disney Springs/Parks because I do not have a vehicle but I have a annual pass, question is the new rules going into effect on June 28th would there be any way to get to the parks? Or is rideshare my only option?

Hello Chase and welcome to planDisney!

I’m going to cut right to the chase.  I’ve never used the Orlando bus system LYNX but after a lot of research and study I feel like I know the system now!

Chase, it sounds like you have been utilizing the LYNX system to get from your off-site lodging to Disney Springs and working your way from there to a theme park via the complimentary bus system.  With the new regulations for Disney Springs beginning on June 28, 2026, even though you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, unless you show a valid Disney Resort hotel room key, a dining reservation within a two-hour window, or an experience reservation for the Resort that you are visiting, you would not be able to use the Disney Springs bus system. If any additional information comes available in the coming days after this new rule is implemented, we will keep you up to date here at planDisney.

Chase, that does leave you with the choice to use a ride share to get to your destination from your off-site lodging, or you could still utilize the LYNX system to get you closer to the theme park of your choice and then call on a ride share to get you the rest of the way, if you felt that the savings were worth the time spent.

One other option could be to go the rental car route.  Walt Disney World Annual Passholders do receive free standard parking at the theme parks.  If you felt that the cost of renting a car while getting the free parking might offset the cost of multiple ride share trips on your vacation, you might decide that a rental car is the way to go.

Chase, I’m sorry I don’t have any better news for you.  As a fellow Annual Passholder, I hope you can create many magical moments with your family, and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
