We are currently looking at 2 resorts - Animal kingdom lodge/jambo house or the Polynesian resort. Our daughter will be 14. Which one do you think might be better suited for the mid teen girl?

    Hi Natasha,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Welcome to the teenage years - with two tween girls, I can appreciate your dilemma. The great news is that either resort would be lovely. I think your decision depends on her interests. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, she would be able to take in the spectacular animals that roam the savannas. The dining options and resort activities here are fantastic. With such close proximity to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, you could also enjoy one of the nature experiences that are a part of the Enchanting Extras Collection. We have done the Caring for Giants tour and, on our next visit, are doing the Dine with an Animal Specialist experience. I adore this resort area - it is breathtaking!

Having said that, my girls' favorite resort is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. They love the ambiance of this resort and the dining experiences at Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show and 'Ohana. We always make a dinner reservation at 'Ohana during the fireworks time at Magic Kingdom. Seeing the fireworks while dining is phenomenal. We all enjoy having access to the resort monorail and water taxis in addition to bus transportation. And, we walk over to Disney Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for other dining experiences.

    Natasha, I hope this helps!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
