We are currently looking at dining reservations and I am looking for some suggestions. I will be traveling with an 8 year old and we would like to try some new and fun dinner/lunch options.

    Hi, Stephanie!

Your 8 year old will find dining to be so much fun in Walt Disney World.  Here are some suggestions:

-Chef Mickey's (breakfast or dinner buffet in the Contemporary).  Dine with Mickey, Goofy, and all their pals!
-Whispering Canyon Café (I suggest dinner.  Located at Wilderness Lodge).  Family fun, silly atmosphere.  Dinner served family style. Make sure to ask for ketchup!
-Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre at Hollywood Studios.  Enjoy your meal in your very own convertible while movie clips play up on the drive-in movie screen.
-Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.  All day buffet hosted by Pooh and Friends.
-Teppan Edo in Japan Pavilion in Epcot.  Watch your personal Teppan chef prepare a delicious meal in front of your eyes.
-Rainforest Café.  Two great locations:  Animal Kingdom or Downtown Disney.

I hope this is a good start.  If you need more ideas let me know!  Happy dining!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
