So currently looking to book our 1st wdw holiday staying on site however we cant decide between Port Orleans Riverside or coronado Grand Destino tower. We are a family of 4 two children aged 12 and 9.

    Welcome to planDisney, Leanne!

Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is a truly enchanting experience. With their detailed theming, unique storytelling, and world-class customer service, they really immerse you in the magic. The benefits of staying on property, such as free and convenient transportation and extra time in the theme parks, serve to sprinkle even more pixie dust on your trip. You're in for a magical time!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is such a romantic and relaxing resort. And in the words of Princess Tiana, "Beignets? Got me a fresh batch just waitin' for you." However, having recently stayed at Grand Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Spring Resort, there's only one winner, in my option. Even though Coronado Springs is technically a Moderate resort, staying at Grand Destino Tower feels like you're in a Deluxe resort. The Dig Site Pool is spectacular. I must have taken about 50 photographs! It's big and great for families to swim and play together. There's even a volleyball court right next to the pool area too.

The dining options are very impressive at Coronado Springs. Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood is a great restaurant for that special occasion. The view is majestic! Then you have the Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Villa del Lago. Not only is the food delicious, but the setting is so relaxing and beautiful. If you want to enjoy a romantic drink one evening, then head up to Dahlia Lounge. As Abuela from Encanto says, "The Magic is strong — and so are the drinks!" Again, the views are amazing! Finally, I really loved grabbing a Spanish-inspired coffee and a pastry every morning at Barcelona Lounge. Your taste buds can't go wrong with any of these options, Leanne.

The walk around Lago Dorado (particularly as the sun is rising) is so soul-refreshing. The rooms are spacious and can easily accommodate a family of four. There are even some cool activities you can do at this resort, like the Colors of Coronado Painting Experience or designing your own piece of Spanish mosaic art

Finally, Grand Destino Tower even smells amazing! Seriously, as soon as you step into the lobby, take a big whiff and you'll know what I'm talking about. It all adds to the delightful experience.

I hope that's helpful, Leanne. Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
