I am currently living in Canada on a student visa. I do not have a Canadian passport, but can I purchase a Canada Resident Ticket with a student visa?

Hello there, I'm so happy to wish you a warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!

It has been so great to see so many special offers, deals and discounts aimed exclusively at residents of Canada over the past few years and it's so great that you've chosen to live in Canada as an international student. I recently came back from a trip to Tokyo Disney Resort myself and absolutely love how incredibly well maintained and beautiful the theme parks are in Japan, but also how much more wonderful the fellow guests and Cast Members were there at a level simply unmatched elsewhere in my opinion!

Just as there are certain offerings at Tokyo Disney Resort that are exclusive to residents of Japan with a Japanese address, guests looking to take advantage of being able to purchase the Canada Resident 4-Day Theme Park Ticket will typically need to "show proof of Canada residency at a Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window prior to first use" according to the terms of this current offer in 2024 and 2025. You may be happy to hear that similar to verifying your age when purchasing alcohol, Cast Members may accept various forms of identification when you are requested to show proof of residency. (If for example, you're living in Ontario you may be able to present a form of government-issued identification such as a driver's license or Ontario Photo Card that displays your Canadian address in lieu of presenting a Canadian passport since you don't have one.)

Policies are always subject to change without prior notice, and I highly recommend speaking with your student advisors or any of the resource providers for international students about ways that you can provide proof of Canadian residency, to bring what you can to support this on your next Walt Disney World Resort visit. My personal recommendation is to head directly to Disney Springs where the Welcome Center and Ticket Center are both centrally located in order for the Cast Members there to validate your Canadian residency, as a way to save time before the first morning when you'll be heading to the theme parks. I hope this helps, and that the Cast Members will be able to determine your eligibility for these special offers with the identification that you provide!

Wishing you a wonderful winter up in Canada!
