I currently live in TX but have an apartment in FL for work. I have a credit card statement sent to my address in Fl but currently my hotel and magic bands were sent to my house in Texas. Will I have issues getting a resident ticket?

    Hi, Cristina! Welcome to planDisney!

MagicBands? Check. Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation? Check. It sounds like all you need are your tickets and you'll be ready for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation to begin!

The way I see it, wherever you hang your Mouse ears is home, so I'm happy to consider you one of my Florida neighbors! For the purpose of buying theme park tickets, let's take a look at what Disney will accept as proof of Florida residency:

     - Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
     - Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
     - Valid Florida-based military ID

      OR

     - Proof of current mortgage not more than 2 months old (leases not accepted)
     - Current homeowner's insurance policy or bill
     - Current automobile registration, insurance policy or bill
     - Current Utility bill (power / phone / cable / water)
     - Mail from financial institutions, including checking, savings or investment account statements
     - Mail from federal, state, county or city government agencies

Bills/mail can be no more than 2 months old (P.O. Boxes are not accepted as proof of residency).

My concern for you is that the policy regarding mail from financial institutions specifies "checking, savings or investment account statements" and doesn't mention credit card statements. That doesn't mean they aren't accepted, but I'd feel better if they were mentioned. I think your best bet for acceptable proof of residency documentation might be a utility bill from your apartment. It needs to have your name and Florida address on it, and can't be more than 2 months old.

Cristina, to make sure you have what you need, I'd get in touch with Guest Relations at the number listed under "New Tickets" so a Cast Member can take a look at your exact situation and help you determine your best option. That way, you won't have any surprises when you purchase your tickets.

I'm wishing you lots and lots of pixie dust as you plan your magical vacation, Cristina. Thank you so much for stopping by, and please be sure to come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
