Hi, Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by to see us here at planDisney!
I've always loved the warm welcome you get when the day starts at the
Magic Kingdom Park with the "Let the Magic Begin" show. It just lets you know that something really special is in store for your day at Walt Disney World!
If you hop over to the page for
"Let the Magic Begin" on the Walt Disney World website, you'll see the current date next to a small calendar icon in the blue section of the page. Right under that will be the show time for that particular day. You can click on the date to change it and see if the show is scheduled in the near future. Right now, it says "No performance today," because the full show hasn't yet returned to the park.
In the past week or so, however, Disney has started allowing Guests into the park a little early for what we super fans call "rope drop." You can enter the Magic Kingdom before the official opening and wander Main Street, U.S.A., and the Cinderella Castle hub area for a bit. At 9 a.m., you'll hear an announcement along with some classic Disney music letting you know that the park is open, and you can then visit the other lands. There isn't an actual show just yet, but it definitely helps get you ready the fun!
And here's a tip: Check the hours of the
Main Street Bakery to see how early you might be able to enter the theme park. Today, with the park's posted opening at 9 a.m., the Main Street Bakery's listed hours begin at 8:30. So, you can get into the park a little early and even grab yourself a Starbucks while you wait!
I hope this helps you plan your Disney day, Kimberly! Be sure to stop by again if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
