Hey there, Philippa! Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your holiday planning question.
Eeeek! Philippa, in just days, you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth, ready to begin your next magical adventure! How exciting! The perfect way to beat the heat and maximize your magic on a springtime
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is to spend the day splashing around
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. The attractions here may be wet, but the Disney magic certainly isn't watered down. I am SO excited to spend a pixie-dusted Disney day at this oh-so-fun, amazingly themed water park next month, and I'm thrilled to help you get to the fun!
I just spoke with a helpful Cast Member who informed me that, unfortunately, there is not a bus directly from
Disney's Art of Animation Resort to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. But Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" Take your Resort's bus to
Disney Springs and then catch the bus to Typhoon Lagoon. I'd suggest packing a park bag with beach towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, water shoes, and dry clothes for your typhoon-wrecked island adventure. But don't worry ... If you forget anything you may need, you are sure to find it at
Singapore Sal's!
Philippa, did you know that the very first episode of the planDisney Podcast was filmed at Typhoon Lagoon?! My planDisney pals and I chatted about all things Spring Break in the Disney Parks and Resorts and Typhoon Lagoon. I'll link it below so that you can watch or listen for tips and tricks, such as how to rent a
Beachcomber Shack and where to get a DOLE Whip (with or without rum ... or tequila!). You can also hear all about the incredible story and theming of Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park from a Walt Disney Imagineer. You don't want to miss that! I hope you find it really helpful in maximizing your spring adventure. You can also download it to your mobile device from wherever you get your podcasts. It'll be the perfect way to get prepared and excited on your journey across the pond!
I hope this was helpful, Philippa, and I hope you have an unforgettable and magical upcoming holiday! Please stop by any time with any planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
