I currently have dinner reservations for dinner in MK at 7 p.m. on Jan. 1, but worried because I've been reading that New Years Day will be quite busy. We check in Jan 1 at 3 p.m., is it possible the park could be at capacity and our reservations missed?

    Hi Drema,

There are indeed certain times of year like Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, when the parks are extremely crowded.

Whilst it is impossible to predict if a park will reach capacity on any particular day, if a park does reach capacity and is closed, no further guests will be admitted to that park, even those with advanced dining reservations for restaurants located inside the park in question.

For your information, there are in actual fact four levels of closure at the Disney parks and as you do have a dining reservation, you would be allowed to enter the park through the first three phases of closure. Should the Magic Kingdom reach a level four closure on New Years Day then no further Guests would be allowed entry.

I would try not to worry about this happening too much as it is something which is out of your control.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
