Hey howdy hey Colleen and welcome to planDisney!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is such a great resort and the new additions have stepped it up on the "must stay" list. One of my favorite additions has been the transportation to and from the resort with
Disney Skyliner service. This is such an easy and convenient way to fly around Walt Disney World Resort in general and is one attraction outside the parks my family and I love to experience whenever we can. With just an easy flight to neighboring resorts such as Disney's Rivera Resort as well as to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, it is so much easier just getting around! The other big draw would have to be
Sebastian's Bistro. Bringing the tropical flavors and epic waterfront views to you, it is a restaurant that is a destination on any trip on the Skyliner.
With regards to the resort itself and construction, there will be some refurbishments taking place starting in January. The Skyliner service as of this writing was scheduled to be down from January 23rd to January 28th. This should be well over with by your trip in March. The other areas of refurbishment pertain to the bridges on the resort. Starting in January of this year, the bridge that connects Old Port Royale to the Aruba and Jamaica neighborhoods will be closed as well as Caribbean Cay. At this time, there is no end date of the expected closures, but keep checking back on the Caribbean Beach home page to see when it is complete as the bright orange construction updates will be gone.
Transportation to and from the resort to parks such as Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom as well as Disney Springs will still have
bus transportation available as well. These buses usually run every 15-20 minutes or so. At the transportation station in your resort, you should see monitors that give you the expected time frames the next bus for your destination will be arriving as well.
I hope you will also find time to experience
Fuentes del Morro pool at the resort. My girls loved this zero-entry pool, the water slide and the unique theming. The resort itself is really beautiful and a great place to enjoy your stay in the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any further questions about your upcoming trip let us know, we love talking about all things Disney!
Happy planning,
Nick
