We are currently coming to Disney the week of April 21-27th 2013. We have decided to skip the park hopper since we knew 3 out of out 5 days will be in the Magic Kingdom since DD is 5. Is this a wise move or do you think we will need the park hopper?

Hello Amy!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.

What a great week to visit Walt Disney World and enjoy great weather, low crowds and the beautiful Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.

While on family vacations, we usually visit Magic Kingdom two or three times, while only once the other four parks.
We love to spend full days at the other three parks - we just have more to do at the Magic Kingdom.

I agree your daughter will love to spend most days at Disney´s Magic Kingdom and the New Fantasyland.  Enchanted Tales with Belle is an interactive experience not to be missed.

Still, full days at Epcot and Animal Kingdom feature relaxing and magical experiences for my family.
Strolling these two parks, are some of my favorite activities while at Disney vacations.

Up to this moment my family does not use the Park Hopper option, since we prefer spending full days at the parks.  We like to dine at or close to the park we are visiting, to make the most of our vacation time.

The days we visit parks with early closing hours, we use the extra time to do laundry or go to bed early to recharge.

From my point of view, it is only cost effective to hop between parks during seasons with really late park hours and during Water Park days.
If you plan on taking naps during the day - at your resort - you might benefit from using the Park Hopper option on your visit.

Glad to help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear more from you.
