Ahoy Arantza!
Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy,
Hawai'i is calling you! Could there be a more WONDERful way to explore the islands of Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Maui and O‘ahu than on the
Disney Wonder? Doubtful! Four islands in one trip? Sounds like the best way to SEA them all and then decide where to visit again in the future!
For most itineraries, Guests do cancel or change reservations all the time, so there's a chance that an Oceanview or Verandah stateroom could become available. But your Hawai’i itinerary is quite unique in that it’s only one of two Hawaiian voyages available with Captain Mickey all year. It’s not even showing any availability on the Disney Cruise Line website. Since you are sailing on this sold out Hawai’i voyage on May 6th, I’m thinking that is less likely given that sailing’s popularity.
The only stateroom category that offers a waitlist that I’m aware of is
Concierge level. Once on the waitlist, Guests are then called with upgrade information if a suite opens up. At that time, the available Concierge stateroom and cost is revealed, and Guests would have approximately 24 hours to decide whether to switch to Concierge.
There isn’t a waitlist for the other
categories of staterooms...probably because it would be a major challenge to keep up with that many staterooms and all the changes. You could always keep checking the
Disney Cruise Line website on the off chance that an Oceanview or Verandah stateroom becomes available. But I will tell you this: even if it doesn’t work out, you probably spend very little time actually IN your stateroom. And I like to say that with Disney Cruise Line, it's not so much about the time you spend in your stateroom, but it's all about the activities and entertainment onboard and the cruise destinations that make the experience so magical.
Please let us know if we can assist you further with your plans. Wishing you a WONDERful voyage!
Happy Sailing!
