Hello! I am currently booked to stay at Art of Animation in November. I was wondering if the standard room at AKL would still provide enough views of animals for the price difference if I were to switch. Also is it worth it for a 4 and 1 year old? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Meghan!

Hooray for an already booked visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! With so many magnificent choices of resort hotels inside the magic to choose from, I completely understand wondering if you choose the best one for your family.

Meghan, I have been fortunate enough to stay at both Disney’s Art of Animation and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. They are both magnificent and my entire family enjoyed them both very much! But if I ask my kids which one they like more, I think they will both vote for Disney’s Art of Animation. I will never forget their faces as we walked in and they saw their favorite Disney•Pixar characters in their larger-than-life forms adorning the buildings. They were in awe the entire time as they continued to explore and discover all the details and fun surprises this resort has to offer.

If you choose to stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would recommend splurging a bit and getting savannah view. This resort feels like a whole new world! But getting to enjoy the wild life right from your resort room is an experience like no other. My kids also loved the resort exclusive activities that are offered, like the educational bead activities.

Meghan, no matter which resort you choose, I just know you are going to have a magical vacation! I suggest browsing all the fun amenities, resort activities, and of course the stunning pictures of both and hopefully that will help you choose the best fit and experience for your family. And if you simply can’t choose, make it a split stay and try them both!

Thanks for stopping by! If you have any more questions or need any planning tips, please don’t hesitate to bring them our way.
