We currently are booked in a preferred room at POR Sept. 13 thru 21st 21014. Is a Royal Guest Riverview room any closer? Thanks!

    Hi Denise,

Thank you for stopping by with your question. You are going to love Port Orleans Riverside Resort's quaint southern charm. I always enjoy visiting this hotel and walking along the trails throughout.

Typically, a preferred room is one that is close to the main building, main pool, or near a bus stop with a water, garden or pool view rather than a parking lot or wooded area. At Port Orleans Riverside, the Royal guest rooms are in Oak Manor and Parterre Place, which are quite close to the main building by a short walk over a bridge. Oak Manor is pretty equidistant between the East Depot bus stop and the bus stops at the front entrance of the resort. With a river view in these buildings you would be facing the Sassagoula River and the main building just across it.

I hope this further clarifies the differences and similarities. Keep in mind that building requests are not guaranteed and are based on availability at time of check-in.

    Have a wonderful pixie-dusted trip!
