We are currently booked at the Pop Century Resort. Is it worth the extra to stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort to be closer to the parks?

Hey there, Emily! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It just so happens that I've stayed at both Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, so I'm happy to help you decide which one is best for you. If location is your biggest concern, let me put your mind at ease. There really isn't much difference between staying at Pop Century vs. staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. You'll need to take a bus to the parks from either resort, and the distance between them isn't more than a few extra minutes. In fact, buses at the Caribbean Beach Resort must make several stops around the loop on the resort property before heading out to the parks, so total trip time may even be a bit longer from there.

And here's a "mom tip" for taking the bus to and from Pop Century: if you're at a park and you see the bus for Disney's Art of Animation Resort pull up before the Pop Century bus, go ahead and hop on it. You can walk from the front of Art of Animation to Pop Century in just a few minutes, and sometimes at the end of a park day, you just want to be on the bus for "home" as soon as you can. Plus, the walk through Art of Animation includes a look at the fun larger-than-life characters in the resort courtyards, which I bet your family will really enjoy.

I hope I've helped make your decision a little easier, Emily. Wishing you and your family a magical Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
