Currently booked for 7 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter with free counter service. For same price I could upgrade to Old Key West with table service. Should I? pros/cons? My daughter is vegetarian and menus do not seem to cover this.

David you do indeed have tough decisions to make for your upcoming trip!  Old Key West is the oldest villa group on property but it is still the most sought after for guests who have been coming for years.  The Villas are the largest you will find and the atmosphere very relaxed.  You will have many additional amenities in your villa that you wouldn't have in a typical resort such as Port Orleans French Quarter.  You can read more about Old Key West by clicking HERE.

Traveling with anyone in your group who has dietary restrictions or special needs will be better served using the table service locations on property.  These chefs are quite aware of the guests needs and will do all they can to make a great meal for their diets.  Your daughter would be able to discuss her likes and dislikes with a chef before ordering which would make your dining a lot more fun and enjoyable for her.  Counter service options are pretty set and the best you might do is to look over the ingredients that are in each item offered.  Changes are much harder to make at these locations.

My personal opinion would be to move over to Old Key West and enjoy the facilities there that include a kitchen in the villa and then make some great dining reservations at the many table service locations on property for your stay.
