It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gail! It looks like you're all caught up on the plans to welcome guests back to Walt Disney World Resort as well as
the phased re-opening plans for the Theme Parks. The
Disney Parks Blog is the best source for all of this breaking news so with a trip coming up later this year, make sure to bookmark it and check back often so you can be among the first to hear all of the important details you need to know to make your vacation plans!
In a recent update from Disney, we learned a few things about how dining is going to work in the immediate future. At this time, the difficult decision has been made to cancel
all existing dining reservations and
Disney Dining Plans as restaurant capacity will be limited due to physical distancing measures. I recently had some dining reservations automatically canceled through this process and did not receive any notifications like I would if I had done the cancellation myself, so you may want to check your
My Disney Experience account to have a look at the status of the Dining Plan you added to your vacation package. It may still be listed in there, but I would expect it to be canceled in the coming weeks. If you have been affected by these updates, Disney will be reaching out to you with some additional details and options for you to proceed with your vacation booking. Remember that the dining reservation window has been changed from 180 days before your arrival to 60 days before your arrival, so you'll be able to make decisions about your dining options a bit closer to your vacation when we have more information about exactly what to expect.
Have a magical day, Gail!
