I am currently booked at AO but can get a comparable price at the Boardwalk Inn. This is a 1st trip for all of us. My kids will be 7 and 5 at the time of the trip. Just wondering if the Boardwalk Inn would be appropriate for us with the kids

    Hi Shannon,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited for you and your family, so much magic awaits you! The first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is truly special. Disney's BoardWalk Inn is a wonderful Resort for kids, and the location is fantastic. You can easily walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios or take a Water taxi if you prefer. You can also catch the Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park from Epcot, giving you access to 3 Theme Parks without needing to use Disney Bus Transportation. Disney's BoardWalk has great restaurants and fun street performers in the evening. My family and I have rented Surrey Bikes and rode along the BoardWalk; it's one of our favorite things to do when we stay there.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is also a wonderful and will have a very different feel than Disney's BoardWalk Inn. Each themed section immerses you in a storybook landscape. The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Cars, and Finding Nemo come to life all around you. The Big Blue Pool is the largest hotel pool at the Walt Disney World Resort. Your children can splash around all day and listen to their favorite Disney tunes underwater.

You can't go wrong with either Resort! Enjoy making your magical memories!
