Hi Lisa!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with a great question.
When my family
travels to the Walt Disney World Resort, we like to spend long periods in the Theme Parks. Therefore, we don’t travel light! I always make sure to pack an extra change of clothes for the kids, and flip flops in case it rains. I also like to take my rain ponchos from home as I can get them at the dollar store. Traveling in November can lead to cool nights, so we always pack a light jacket and long pants. If we don’t plan on heading back to our Resort hotel in the late afternoon, I always make sure to bring these to the parks. Lastly, I always have a water bottle and snacks on hand for each of us. It helps to prevent meltdowns when the kids suddenly get hangry (hungry and angry.)
Suitcases, bags, coolers, or backpacks, without wheels, larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high are not allowed in any Theme Park. Re-usable ice packs are recommended when needed to keep food cold as loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. As long as your bags are smaller than the dimensions listed above, there shouldn’t be any issues bringing them into the Theme Parks.
While we are on the topic of bags, if you are flying into the Orlando International Airport and are using
Disney’s Magical Express, you will have to pick up your bags at the luggage carousel. Once you’ve collected your suitcases, please bring them to the Disney’s Magical Express area, and your bags will be transported with you on the motorcoach.
I hope that you and your family have the most magical time!
