Welcome back, Kelly!
This is another great question, as there are many guests who hold two sets of tickets, especially when they have Annual Passes or when they have two trips booked within a particular time period.
Earlier this month, I visited Walt Disney World with a four-day
Theme Park Ticket as well as a five-day Theme Park Ticket I was planning on using during a later trip. To further complicate the matter, I upgraded the five-day ticket to an Annual Pass while I was there. Just to be sure that all worked correctly, I confirmed with a Cast Member right after entering that the correct ticket had been used for my entrance.
In short,
My Disney Experience prioritizes guests' tickets. If you are an
Annual Passholder, your Annual Pass is currently activated and you are not entering a park on a blackout date, that AP will be used first. Only if you are entering a park during an Annual Pass blackout period or after your AP expires would your other tickets be used. Once your park tickets with Park Hopper Options are activated, any additionally-purchased tickets would not be used until the current ticket entitlements have expired.
For your own peace of mind, of course, just ask a Cast Member at the entrance to any park to confirm which ticket was used for entry that day. You'll just tap your
MagicBand to the handheld device the Cast Member carries for this purpose and you'll know right away the type of ticket accessed for that day's entrance.
Send more questions as you plan, Kelly; we love to help!
