    We currently are annual pass holders that are supposed to renew in December. Can we still renew our family passes with annual passes on the site being suspended?

    Hey Howdy Hey Erica and welcome to planDisney! 

    Annual passes are such a great option for those that live close to Walt Disney World Resort or those that visit often. Being able to pop in for a quick weekend trip living within driving distance of Disney World must be such a nice benefit! There has been so much that has been changing with annual passes that I will admit sometimes it is hard to find the right answers at the right times for certain questions. Hakuna Matata Erica, I've got you covered, so let's talk annual pass renewals!

    According to recent communications by Disney as well as information online, the sale of new annual passes has temporarily been paused. At this time, only those that have active passes will be able to renew their annual passes but no new sales will be available at this time. If you wanted to renew your pass online, you will be able to do so by following the "Renew" link online which will have you sign in to your My Disney Experience account which should have your linked passes. You should then be able to follow the prompts to get your passes renewed. You will also be able to renew your passes 30 days after they expire, just in case you forgot to before the actual expiration date!

    I will agree, that there is so much that happens and changes around Walt Disney World from resort announcements, park announcements and ticket announcements that it can get overwhelming at times. Did you know there are several places for the most up-to-date information for annual passholders? The first would be the Disney World Passholder Facebook Group. This online forum will have a lot of the recent information on there as well as the experience of other passholders. 

    As long as your annual pass is linked to your My Disney Experience account, you will also be able to check out The Passholder Buzz: Your Mobile Hub on your My Disney Experience app. You can find all of the latest news and deals there right from your smart device. You can also check out all the discounts and benefits online which may tend to change from time to time. So many benefits and so many easy places to get the latest info!
