Ahoy there, Erin! Welcome aboard planDisney! Thanks for sailing my way with your question about the in-room entertainment on the
Disney Wonder! It sounds like you've been sailing on the ships of the
Disney Cruise Line fleet for as long as I have! Great to meet a fellow Disney Wonder enthusiast as well!
I've got ... WONDERful news (ok, you HAD to have seen that one coming...) - the Disney Wonder has joined her siblings in offering on-demand options
in every stateroom! While it went a long time without on-demand TV, now you can escape from the sun and queue up your favorite films alongside my personal favorite, the "voyage progress" channel!
There's just something about knowing how fast you're traveling through the sea, how deep the sea beneath you is (gulp...it's often REALLY deep...), how far you've traveled, and how far until your next Port of Call, and then being able to swap over to exactly the Disney movie or show that pairs best with the incredible room service you've undoubtedly ordered! haha.
You'll still have the great looping channels like the bridge cam,
Port Adventures overview, shopping and Disney Vacation Club information channels, the Cruise Director's Morning Show, and yes, even the ultra-sad debarkation presentation.
Sigh.
No matter what you decide to watch, the choice is yours now!
Thank you so much for your question, Erin, and I hope that helps you check this one off your list of "must knows!" If you run into any other mysteries, you know where to find me at planDisney! I'll be on the lookout for any other messages in a bottle from you!
Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
Andrew
