With the current system of park reservation, if you have a reservation at magic kingdom during the day, but you leave and wouldn’t like to visit Epcot in the evening, can you go back to the app and cancel your magic kingdom and book an Epcot reservation?

Hello there Melinda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for bringing your planning question to us!

Generally when my family vacations in Walt Disney World, we bounce like Tigger from park to park on the same day; however, during this exciting reopening period, park hopping is not available. The Disney Park Pass System allows Guests to schedule one theme park per day to visit during their stay. Because the Disney Park Pass System is linked to your theme park admission via your My Disney Experience Account, once you have scanned your Magic Band or admission card to enter your chosen theme park for the day, you are "locked-in," and cannot cancel the reservation for the remainder of the day. You can still leave and re-enter the same theme park within the same day, so feel free to take a midday break at your Resort Hotel or Disney Springs if you would like.

While visiting Walt Disney World without park hopping isn't what my family has grown accustomed to, we are looking forward to focusing our fun and fully immersing ourselves in just one theme park per day on our next visit. Rather than hurrying to hop to the next theme park or attraction on my list, I can't wait to take my time window shopping (or, let's be honest - actual shopping!) and enjoying the ambiance on Main Street U.S.A as I slowly close out my day at the Magic Kingdom Park. If you enjoy the international flavor of EPCOT's World Showcase, I suggest dinner at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The tropical cuisine of this exotic outpost is sure to satisfy the adventurers in your group! French-inspired cuisine, including wine, can be found at Be Our Guest Restaurant. You might even catch a glimpse of the Beast himself at this meal, as he tends to keep a close watch while the flatware's entertaining!

Melinda, while our next visit to the Disney Parks may be a little different than what we're used to, there will be so many ways to experience the magic. If there is anything else we can help with before your stay, please come see us again. We are happy to guide you through this whole new world!

TTFN - ta ta for now!
