What is the current status of pin trading in the parks February 2021?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Catherine!

I recently visited The Most Magical Place on Earth and LOVED how Pin Trading was being handled! I’ve been an avid Pin Trader since my first visit to Mr. Mickey Mouse when I was five, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed the current form of Pin Trading just as much as in years past!

Though Pin Trading looks a little different than it did before the Phased Reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, you’re still going to have a blast! Instead of direct Cast Member to Guest trading, the theme parks and hotels have come up with an incredible way to promote health and wellness while maintaining the magic! When you’re ready to begin trading pins, find a pin trading location (I have a few listed below for you, or you can ask a Cast Member at any of the shops/Guest Services for the current Pin Trading locations and they’ll typically circle them on a map for you), take your time looking over the available pins on the trading board (they usually correspond with a number), tell the Cast Member what pin/pins you would like (currently a limit of two pins per person), drop the pins you’re trading (one for one) into a little box near the board to be sanitized (make sure to keep your Mickey pin back), then enjoy your new pins and repeat!

There are usually big Pin Trading signs that will lead you to Pin Trading locations around the parks! But here are a few locations that I was able to visit during my trip so you have an idea of where to start:

    -Emporium (Magic Kingdom Park)
    -Sir Mickey’s (Magic Kingdom Park)
    -Memento Mori (Magic Kingdom Park)
-Near TriceraTop Spin (Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park)
-Discovery Trading Company (Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park)
    -Celebrity 5 & 10 (Disney’s Hollywood Studios)
-Pin Traders - Camera Center (EPCOT)
    -Disney’s Pin Traders (Disney Springs)
-Resort gift shops (typically available at the cash register)

The locations and processes of Pin Trading are subject to change, so make sure to watch the Disney Parks Blog for updates, Catherine! Also, feel free to ask Cast Members for Pin Trading spots as you never know what secret locations they may have up their sleeves!

It was lovely to hear from you! We hope that you’ll visit us again at planDisney with any additional questions!

Hello! I am Allyn, your personal planDisney companion! I’ve enjoyed most of my life in the heart of Wyoming but am currently living my fairy tale as a wife, mom, yoga instructor, and fine jewelry designer in central Florida! When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
