Bonjour, Mary! Welcome to planDisney and Welcome Home! I'm so glad that you've stopped by with your
Disney Vacation Club question. I love chatting with a fellow Member!
Just like our favorite little French chef Remy said, "change is nature." While it is always a bummer to have to cancel a magical DVC vacation, unfortunately, it happens. But like Chef Gusteau said, "If you focus on what you left behind, you will never see what lies ahead." So, let's chat about what magic lies ahead for you, mon ami!
As long as you cancel your November 2022 reservation at least 31 days before your arrival date, those Vacation Points will go back into the
Use Year from which they were taken, which was likely your 2021 Use Year. Since your 2021 Use year runs from December 1, 2021, to November 30, 2022, unless those Points are
banked into the following Use Year, they will expire at the end of the Use Year. But it's your pixie-dusted day, Mary! The deadline to bank your Points is not until July 31, 2022, so, you are just in time. If you are sure that you will have to cancel, go ahead and do it now so that you can
bank your Vacation Points before the deadline. Points equal magic, so, may no Point be left behind!
Just be aware that banking is a final transaction, and since banked Points cannot be banked again, the banked Points will need to be used by November 30, 2023. If you have any additional questions, check out the DVC
Banking Rules 101 or
let me know!
I'm so sorry to hear that you must cancel your vacation, Mary, but I do hope this was helpful! Stop by any time with any planning or DVC questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
Au revoir,
Mandy
