Is there a current 2026 printable map of Fort Wilderness showing the shuttle route?

Welcome to planDisney, K! I am excited to see that you are researching a trip to Walt Disney World Resort all the way from the West Coast! I visited California this past December for the first time! Of course, I spent most of my time at Disneyland! It was so magical! So much was similar to Walt Disney World, but there were many differences, as well. Let's get to your question!

The Cabins and Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are such a unique experience at Walt Disney World. They are unlike any other Disney Resort hotel, with exclusive recreation experiences. Because the resort is so spread out, there is an internal bus system with three different routes - purple, orange, and yellow. This can be a bit confusing to navigate for first-timers. Unfortunately, Disney does not have an official map of this system available online. My experience has been that they do have them at the front desk.

The transportation is visible on the My Disney Experience App. My friend and fellow panelist, Scott, recently answered a question explaining how to access this. I'll link that answer here.

I did a quick internet search and found a few images that former guests have shared, as well as recent blog posts. I can't guarantee they are accurate or up-to-date, but it might be a good place to start.

Fort Wilderness has so much to do that I couldn't begin to list all the activities here, but I'd love to share a few of my favorites:

    • Chip 'N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is held nightly. It's free to attend, but you can purchase a s'mores kit to take it up a notch. Afterwards, stick around to watch a Disney movie on the big screen.
    • If you have a golf cart, ride the campsite loops. If not, take a walk. During Christmastime and around the Fourth of July, guests decorate their sites, but it's fun to do any time of year.
I hope this was helpful, K. I'm sure you'll be a pro at navigating Fort Wilderness in no time, and you'll make many magical memories in the process! Please come back and see us here at planDisney if you think of any other questions. We're happy to help!

    Always dreaming -
