Hi, Blake! Or as they say on the planet Batuu, "Bright suns!" Thanks for stopping by planDisney as you prepare to travel to a galaxy far, far away.
Planning what to wear is one of my favorite parts of getting ready for a
Walt Disney World Resort trip. As a big
Star Wars fan, I always like to make sure I have a special outfit planned for visiting
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. It's fun to dress the part as we live out our own Star Wars adventures in this immersive land, but it's important to keep the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules and the
Park Attire and Costume Guidelines in mind as we design our galactic garb.
With the exception of certain special events like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Guests 14 years of age and older are not permitted to wear costumes in the Walt Disney World theme parks. Also, gowns or robes that drag on the ground are never permitted to be worn in the parks due to safety concerns. However, if you'd like to
dress the part of a Batuu resident when visiting Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you're welcome to do so by Disney Bounding. In other words, you can use everyday clothing pieces in colors or patterns inspired by your favorite characters. If you'd like to take your inspiration from the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Cast Members, you might consider wearing a color palette of muted earth tones, and you'll fit right in as you explore Black Spire Outpost.
I hope that these guidelines are helpful as you get ready to travel to Batuu. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. May the Force be with you!
Samantha
