Hiya, James!
As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney. While most people put things like making Disney Park Pass reservations and advance dining reservations on their planning to-do list, it's not uncommon to forget one of the most important parts of the travel process –– how you're going to get to
Walt Disney World Resort in the first place! I'm glad to hear you're already thinking about your airport transfer options and I'm happy to share a few of the most common (and convenient!) methods with you.
While the Disney's Magical Express service was retired at the end of 2021, there are still
lots of great options for traveling between Walt Disney World Resort and Orland International Airport. If you're interested in a bus service similar to the Magical Express, I suggest looking at Mears Connect or The Sunshine Flyer. Details about these services and their booking options can be found on their respective company websites with a quick web search. You also have the option of hiring a private car service, taxi, or using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Personally, I think using a rideshare is the most convenient way to get to and from the airport, and it's the method I typically use. I love that I can open the app to request a vehicle as soon as I have my luggage and be quickly on my way to my
Disney Vacation Club Resort.
Finally, you could also rent a vehicle to use during your stay –– if you're traveling with lots of luggage, strollers, or car seats, this might be an especially convenient option for you. Plus, as a Disney Vacation Club Member staying at a DVC Resort, you'll enjoy
complimentary overnight self-parking at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, so you won't have to worry about paying additional parking fees during your visit. And as an added bonus, your complimentary Resort parking also includes complimentary parking at Walt Disney World theme parks, so you'll be able to head back and forth to the parks at your own pace.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, James. No matter how you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, I'm wishing you safe travels and plenty of pixie dust during your upcoming visit!
Happy Planning,
Amy
