Welcome to planDisney, Barbara. Keeping track of your budget is a must on our
Walt Disney World vacations, as it's easy to get swept away in the magic!
Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park offers a traditional family-style Thanksgiving dinner. Although prices are subject to change, right now, each adult can expect to pay $39 for food (not including additional beverages) plus tax and gratuity. The dining tax rate at Liberty Tavern is currently 6.5%. Please know this is an all-you-care-to-enjoy dining experience (much like most Thanksgiving Dinners at home), so you are guaranteed to leave sated and happy.
Across all of Walt Disney Resort, you can expect to pay between 6.5% and 7.5% sales tax, and it's worth noting that larger groups of six or more will have an automatic gratuity of 18%.
When we aim to stick to a budget, particularly during
EPCOT festivals, we find it helpful to add a set amount to a Disney Gift Card. You can even purchase themed wristband cards to make dining and payment around the World Showcase a cinch. I always keep the wristband as a souvenir as well!
Barbara, I hope this information helps, and you enjoy many magical dining experiences at Walt Disney World. I'm here to help with anything else, Louise.
