Hello Coleen! I’m glad you visited planDisney with that great question. Guidance on face coverings can be different from state to state and even at some local levels within each state. The Walt Disney World Resort has been making a
gradual “return to the magic” based upon guidance from local, state, federal, and health-related partners.
The Walt Disney World Resort has announced that as of Tuesday, June 15, 2021, the wearing of face coverings will be optional in most areas of parks and resorts for fully vaccinated Guests. Proof of vaccination is not required, however, Guests who are not fully vaccinated are expected to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, and when entering and experiencing an attraction. Additionally, all Guests, regardless of vaccination history, must continue to wear a face-covering when riding on
Disney transportation. This includes Disney buses, Monorail, and the Disney Skyliner.
Coleen, I hope this information is helpful as you continue dreaming of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You can continue to follow health and safety protocols on the Walt Disney World Resort website. And, of course, you can always come back to planDisney!
