Nina from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

What are the current hours for the Oceaneer Club and Lab on the Disney Fantasy? Does it close early on certain nights?

Welcome back to planDisney, Nina! It's great to have you on board with us.

The Disney Fantasy just happens to be my favorite ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. I can't wait for you to be welcomed aboard and step into all of the magic waiting for you. Make sure to have your camera ready for those first few moments on the ship. They are picture-perfect!

Something that I love about taking a Disney Cruise vacation with my own family, is the variety of experiences that we all get to enjoy onboard. We make lots of memories together as a family by the pools, riding the AquaDuck, through interactive gameshows in the D Lounge, solving mysteries with the Midship Detective Agency, and enjoying the many dining options onboard. My spouse and I also have several opportunities to create memories with just the two of us, all thanks to the variety of youth activity spaces onboard. We can enjoy a delicious brunch at Palo, while our children have an absolute blast in the Oceaneer Club or Oceaneer Lounge. We get family time and lots of time as a couple as well. It's a huge reason that we love cruising with Disney so much!

As it sounds like you are planning to check a little sailor into the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab, I'd like to make sure that you are aware of the current protocols for these youth exclusive spaces. Currently, you must make a reservation for any children in your sailing party for the youth activity areas within 30 days of your cruise. You may do this online by signing into your Disney Account on the Disney Cruise Line website. You may make one reservation per child per day of your cruise. These reserved time slots will be between 1.5-2.5 hours depending on your itinerary.  If your children are interested in returning again for more fun, simply ask the Crew Members at the Oceaneer's Club or Lab to see if any remaining time slots are available for the day. My children were able to make a second reservation onboard the ship more than once!

The Oceaneer's Club and Oceaneer's Lab are typically open from 9 a.m. to midnight. These spaces usually do not close early. On some mornings, they may open an hour or two later. During these times, there are often Open House events when the entire family can visit these spaces and enjoy them together. Just be aware that you may walk away jealous!  Please refer to the schedule in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Once you are on the ship, the Navigator app will display your entire cruise itinerary including activities, your dining rotation, and all of the operating hours of the spaces onboard.

Did you know that on Castaway Cay there is a secure youth activity space called Scuttle's Cove? You don't need a reservation if your children are interested in playing at Scuttle's Cove as it is available on a first-come, first-served basis. I'd recommend making a visit to Serenity Bay while the kids are playing at Scuttle's Cove. Serenity Bay is a secluded adults-only area of the island where you can relax in a hammock and sway in the ocean breeze. There is even a spot for food and drinks far removed from the sounds of excitement and delight of children on the Family Beach.

I hope that your voyage on the Fantasy is everything you could hope for. Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any further questions. Your cruise will be here before you know it!

    Have the most magical time!
