Jambo, Dianne and welcome back to planDisney! As delighted as Nala was to see Simba return, that's how we feel when a guest comes back to planDisney with another question.
Dianne, my family and I spent a few nights at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village just this past August and I'm happy to chat with you about our experience. Currently
Walt Disney World Resort's phased reopening does mean that you'll see a few differences when you visit, which includes things like the well-known cultural activities offered at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. During our trip, many of the group offered activities were on pause, but... HAKUNA MATATA... we were delighted that Cast Members were still stationed outside at the animal overlooks. We took lots of opportunities to chat with these Cast Members and learn more about the animals. I don't know about you, but no matter how many times I see a giraffe I can't help but to be awed.
From your question it looks like your Magical vacation will be coming up in March. Dianne, I'll be wishing on a star for you that some of the beloved cultural programming will return before your stay. I would encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for updates and of course... come on back to planDisney with the same question (and more!) closer to your trip. In the meantime, I will also share that the
Community Hall was open and welcoming guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village. If you have any budding crafters in your party, this is a great place to make something special as a memento from your trip.
Finally, Dianne, I can't say goodbye without recommending you make a dining reservation at one of my favorite spots,
Sanaa. From the gorgeous views to the unparalleled Indian-style Bread Service, I can't possibly visit Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge without eating at Sanaa!
Best wishes, Dianne, for a Magical trip. As Mickey Mouse would say, we here at planDisney hope to "see ya real soon."
