What is the current cancellation policy of a Disney resort hotel reservation, if I book directly on the Disney.go.com website?

Hi Maria, and welcome to planDisney!

I certainly understand the importance of having knowledge of the cancelation policy that is in place so that you will know how to pivot should that situation arise.

Regardless of how you make your Walt Disney World Resort reservation, the cancellation policy will be the same. You can cancel your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package up to 30 days prior to your arrival without penalty (except in the case of any fees assessed by third-party hotels or other suppliers). Cancelations made 2 to 29 days prior to your arrival can be made minus a cancellation fee per package. If you cancel your reservation 1 day or less prior to your arrival (or are a no-show), the full price of the package is then non-refundable. In addition, if you make any changes to your reservation, please note that you will be responsible for any increase in price resulting from the change, and any changes made 30 days or less before your arrival is also subject to a change fee.

If you need to cancel a room-only reservation, you must cancel your reservation at least 5 days before your arrival. Call (407) 934-7639 or cancel via your My Disney Experience account through the website or your smart device to cancel or modify a reservation.

We are here if you have additional questions.

    Have a magical day!
