Hey there, Alison!
Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney! It's exciting to see you're getting ready for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
You ask a great question about traveling from
Disney's Hollywood Studios to
Disney Springs. While there is currently no
bus service directly from the theme parks to Disney Springs, you can still make use of complimentary Walt Disney World Resort transportation to get where you need to go. The cool (and hopefully helpful!) tip I'm happy to share is that the
My Disney Experience mobile app will provide you with step-by-step directions and time estimates.
In the mobile app, simply use the map pin to pick a spot within the theme park as your starting point, tap "Get Directions" and enter your destination. (Hint, you'll likely want to see the directions is reverse to go from the theme park to Disney Springs). So, for example, one get-there idea you'll see would be to take the Disney Skyliner from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and then take the Walt Disney World Bus Service from the Resort to Disney Springs.
In general, I always allow at least an hour to get from place to place around Walt Disney World Resort. Keep in mind that you'll want to consider the time it might take for a bus to pick you up at the Resort. Also consider that you'll arrive at Disney Springs and you'll want time to walk comfortably to the restaurant. You know your travel style best, so you might want to adjust and allow more time as needed if you're more saunter-style then hurried-style.
It's cool to hear you'll be dining at Disney Springs! Some of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants are located all around Disney Springs, including
The BOATHOUSE,
The Edison, and
Jaleo by José Andrés, to name just a few.
Alison, here's wishing you a wonderful stay at Walt Disney World Resort! If you have more questions as you plan your vacation, please come back and ask us here at planDisney.
