Hi Kimberly! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question. It sounds like you have an upcoming stay at
Disney's Old Key West Resort. My family of four loves to vacation at this resort. In fact, shortly after our first stay here, we became
Disney Vacation Club members! The resort truly feels like a home away from home.
Bus transportation at Disney's Old Key West Resort is very convenient. There are five bus stops located throughout the resort, which means you won't have a long walk back to your villa after a busy day at the parks. The Disney transportation buses servicing Disney's Old Key West Resort usually follow this order when arriving to or departing for the theme parks:
- Peninsular Road
- Old Turtle Pond Road
- South Point
- Miller's Road
- Hospitality House
Buses bound for
Disney Springs will stop first at the Hospitality House and then continue around the resort in the above order. When venturing to Disney Springs from Disney's Old Key West Resort, my family also enjoys taking a relaxing and scenic trip down the Sassagoula River using
Walt Disney World Water Transportation. Ferry boats depart from a dock located alongside the Hospitality House.
I hope you have a magical time during your stay at Disney's Old Key West Resort and explore some of the special amenities the resort has to offer. I suggest having a bite to eat at
Olivia's Cafe - one of my family's favorite places to savor delicious home cooking inspired by the Florida Keys. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your next Walt Disney World adventure!
