Well hello there Mieke, wishing you a super warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!
I hope you're getting stoked about your upcoming trip down to warmer weather in just a few weeks; it'll be such a nice feeling being able to hang out under the Floridian sun while it stays chilly up North! Now as you might know, buses are definitely a great choice when embarking on any journey, but it's always handy to know how long your voyage will take before you Go the Distance.
When we've stayed at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort in the past, the longest bus ride to
Magic Kingdom Park didn't take any longer than 25 - 30 minutes at the most. The same can be said for
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, while
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
EPCOT are a leisurely
Disney Skyliner ride away!
It's very key to have a good early-morning strategy in mind when using the
complimentary Resort Bus service in order to take advantage of the
Early Theme Park Entry available for Disney Resort Hotel guests. While February may not be as crowded as you might expect during the summertime months, you may still experience a rush of like-minded folks starting to queue up early and scrambling to get on the first bus - typically scheduled about 45 minutes to an hour before
the park's scheduled opening time.
Here are a few Pieces of Princely Advice that may help you prepare ahead:
- As you check in, it might be a good idea to chat with the friendly Bell Services Cast Members who often see the buses start coming in during their morning shifts. They've been a useful resource for us in the past to find out how early the first buses have been typically arriving that particular week.
- Aim for at least half an hour or earlier than the first bus arrival time while grabbing a portable breakfast at Landscape of Flavors (expedite the process by making a Mobile Order through the My Disney Experience app), as you keep an eye on the bus loop nearby.
Here's a Fun Fact about your Resort Hotel stay: did you know that you'll have access to the largest hotel pool found at Walt Disney World Resort?
The Big Blue Pool contains over 308,527 gallons of underwater adventures! Additionally, heading over to the
Cozy Cone Pool gives you the chance to enjoy perhaps the only free cabanas on Walt Disney World Resort property!
Please come back whenever you can to
ask me any questions for your upcoming trips - and may your bus journeys always convey you early to each day's adventures!
